April 14--18 Spring Break! (Yeah!!)
Be aware of negative non-verbal messages during homework. Many messages, especially negative ones, can be communicated easily without your awareness. If children are sensitive, they will pick up these messages, which can only add to their tension. Two examples are raised eyebrows and inattentiveness.
Please remember to go over your child’s word list with him/her each day!! By Wednesday, all students should have a list to study. Thank you!
Reading: We are doing reading lessons to improve our comprehension. (Understanding what is read.) We are focusing on non-fiction text. We are also learning how to read to discover answers. We are learning to use Post-Its to write our questions and answers on.
